Rest in peace, James Dean
February 8, 1931- September 30, 1955
James Dean died at 5:45 pm on September 30, 1955 when his Porsche 550 Spyder collided with a Ford Tudor in Cholame, California while driving to a race in Salinas, California. Dean died at the young age of 24 with only three movies to his name, East of Eden, Rebel Without A Cause, and Giant. East of Eden was his only film released at his time of death. Although his life short and his filmography small, James Dean defined an entire generation and the legacy he left behind is everlasting. I think I can speak on behalf of many James Dean fans when I say that, Jimmy, you mean so much to all of us and we’re very grateful for the wonderful ways in which you’ve influenced our lives. We miss you terribly every day, and most importantly, we love you.
"Take it easy driving, the life you might save might be mine" -James Dean
